Tomato Paste in a Tube

If you know me very well, you know that I love Trader Joe’s. They have unique products, and you can almost unequivocally assume their products are going to be good.

This is a product of theirs that falls into the category of, “things I didn’t know I needed.” Generally if you’re using a recipe that calls for tomato paste, you open a little can of it. However, I’ve found that many recipes don’t need the whole can, and sometimes even need only a teaspoon or tablespoon. This leaves you wondering what to do with the extra tomato paste.

This tube of tomato paste from Trader Joe’s takes care of that problem and frees you to add a little bit of that deep, punchy tomato flavor to any recipe you want to. Plus, it tastes better than the canned variety, leaving behind the acidic metallic taste that sometimes accompanies canned varieties.
